This application was developed to manage RTC's hotel and extended-stay properties. Currently, RTC is using an old DOS-based database system that allows them to enter guest and vehicle information, basic information on a guest's stay at the property, and it allows them to print a Rent Roll Report that allows the managers of the property to see what guests are currently staying at the property and when their due date/check out date is. The DOS system is not centralized and runs as a stand-alone application at each property.
In addition to the DOS system, RTC currently manually enters information into a myriad of spreadsheets. The spreadsheets are also local to the property only, meaning the accountant must travel from location to location to collect the information and then must manually combine the information from the properties in order to get company-wide totals.
The new proposed system will eliminate both the DOS system and the manual spreadsheet entry because it is centralized allowing manager's to see all the properties at one time and the accountant to be able to pull reports from their desk instead of having to travel to each property separately.
